Ilan Ben Zion


Raised in Providence, RI and  attended the Maimonides School of Brookline, Massachusetts, graduating in 2003.  After a year of study in Israel after high school, moved to Canada in 2004 to study at the University of Toronto.  In 2008, graduated from Innis College with an Honours Baccalaureate in Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations, Jewish Studies, and English Literature.  Thereafter, moved to Tel Aviv, taking the name Ilan Ben Zion.  Completed a Masters in Diplomacy at Tel Aviv University in 2010, then served in CoGAT from January to November 2011.  
Ilan currently writes for Ha'aretz's Jewish Thinker blog and for The Jerusalem Observer.
