Arik Segal was born in Canada but
lived most of his life in Israel. In the age of 22 Arik returned to Canada to
study International Relations at the University of Toronto. Arik spent 4 years
in Canada where he was exposed to a culture and a new perspective about the
conflict in the Middle East. When returning home, Arik completed his Master's
degree in Diplomacy Studies at Tel Aviv University and served one year as a
political assistant in the Korean Embassy in Israel. Today Arik is a freelance Conflict
Management Professional, initiating, promoting and directing track 2 diplomacy
projects between Israel and its neighbors. He is a specialist for international political mediation and
negotiation. In addition to writing in Middleastpost, he writes in other
international and local websites in Hebrew and English and participates as a
speaker in international conferences.
