Israel's Million March

Democracy is not just about voting. On Saturday, September 3rd, go out to the street and make your voice heard.
I had long tiring numerous conversations in February 2009 with many of my friends. I was so eager to see everyone going out to the polls and vote. Without caring much about the party of selection or the political tendency, I gave several tiresome long speeches to friends and family with a call to vote. I also participated in a course by Prof. Israel Waismal-Manor and along with my classmate ran a video campaign to promote voting for the Knesset election.
Today, when the real civil involvement is seen in the streets at its best, we all should take a stance and make our voice heard. This is what democracy is about. Voting for a political party is an important first step to be taken as an active citizen. Protesting and marching the streets is more significant and effective that the mere act of voting.
Watch Stewart saying it best (do change his “vote” to “protest”).
